Disc Pain: Symptoms, Causes, Treatments
Discs are the spacers between your spine, and they act as shock absorbers. When one of your discs becomes damaged, you can experience discomfort and pain in your back.

There are different types of damage that can occur to the discs.
- Herniation - Also known as a slipped disc, is when the disc protrudes from the spine and causes pain and discomfort.
- Degeneration - This occurs when a disc is literally wasting away and dying.
Whenever a disc is damaged, it can cause pain to shoot down the arms and hands, and it can cause the pain to travel down the legs and possibly into the feet. Disc injuries can also cause numbness or tingling, which can be even worse than pain, as you are now losing the ability to feel.
